Welcome to TheComfySpot!

Hello people of the internet, and welcome to TheComfySpot! Come on in, have a seat, and get comfortable. I’m Tyler Miller and this is my first blog. I’m very excited to start this up as this has been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but never actually put into action. So now that the time has come, let’s get this show on the road!

Just to give you all an idea of who I am, I’m currently a junior in college and would like to have a career in journalism, preferably gaming journalism. That aspiration is the whole drive behind me making this blog. It will allow me to have some kind of writing experience and will possibly be a way to step into that field. With that being my goal, it goes without saying that I am a big gamer.

Gaming is something that I’ve done since I was five years old. My first system was the original Playstation and boy did I love it… after a whole year went by before I realized I even had one. Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Spiderman, and Tony Hawk were some of the many games that kept me entertained when I was but a little one. Ever since then I’ve mainly been a Playstation gamer, but I’ve also had Nintendo consoles as well, and they were just as fun as the Playstation games I had. Although I’ve never had an Xbox I’ve played my fair share of Xbox games, so I would like to think I’m well versed in all three ecosystems. No system hate coming from me!

Although this will be a blog that mainly focuses on gaming, I’ll also be talking about some TV shows and movies as well. For the remainder of their seasons, I’ll be doing episode recaps for The Walking Dead and Marvel’s Agents of Shield, with the recaps going live the day after they air. In addition, I’ll be doing opinion/prediction pieces for these shows as well. When season 2 of Daredevil comes out, I plan on doing the same thing. I just need to finalize how I will do it since all the episodes come out at once. And don’t worry about what will happen when these shows are over. I haven’t started watching Arrow, The Flash,  Legends of Tomorrow yet, but I want to. So I’ll be watching those so that I can catch up and do recaps/reviews of them as well.

Everything that is being done for these shows will also be done for movies as well. The only difference will be when the reviews come out for movies. Ideally, I would like to see the movies the day they come out or opening weekend, so that I can get a review out shortly after release, but if I am not able to see them the day they come out or opening weekend the review will have to be pushed back until I can see it. The first movie that I’ll be doing a review on is Deadpool. I’ll be seeing it this Saturday, so a review will be coming for that shortly afterwards.

With all this being said, I hope you all can see the vision for the blog that I have. Like the tagline says, this blog is going to be a place to come and talk about games, movies, and TV. It’s going to be a lot of fun for me to write about these things, and it’ll (hopefully) be fun for you all to read my posts and have discussions in the comment section.

• Kingdom Hearts 2 is my favorite game of all time.
• Sonic is my favorite character to use in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Wii U.
• Brooklyn is what I call home.
• I want to skydiving at some point in my life.
• As of last month, I am 20 years old.
• Pierce the Veil is my favorite band.
• The only movies that have scared me in any way are Quarantine and As Above, So Below.
• My basement at home looks like the end of The Blair Witch Project.
• My dream car is a Lamborghini
• I’ve done a bit of video editing in the past, and posted the videos on Youtube here and here.
• I wish I could fly. That would be great.
• The Walking Dead is my favorite TV show.
