Yesterday Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct, and they talked about a good number of games coming to the Wii U and 3DS. Here’s all the big news that came out of it.
Star Fox Guard
Releasing alongside Star Fox Zero, Star Fox Guard is a tower : game in which players play as Slippy’s uncle Grippy. You can create your own stages, and play on other people’s stages. It will be available in a bundle with Star Fox Zero, or separately on April 22.
Paper Mario: Color Splash
Nintendo announced Paper Mario: Color Splash for the Wii U, a brand new entry in the Paper Mario franchise. The premise behind the game is that Mario is on an island called Prism Island, and it has been drained of all of its color. With your paint hammer, you have to add color back to the island. It launches this year on the Wii U.
SNES Games On 3DS
Starting yesterday, Nintendo will be releasing new SNES games on the 3DS Virtual Console. Yesterday they launched Pilotwings, Super Mario World, and F-Zero. On March 24th, Super Mario Kart, Earthbound, and Donkey Kong Country will be made available. Finally, on April 14th, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong’s Quest will be made available.
Monster Hunter Generations
Monster Hunter X will be coming to the West under the title of Monster Hunter Generations. It launches this summer on the 3DS. Those that have a save file from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will get bonus content in Generations.
Kirby: Planet Robobot
A new Kirby game is coming to the 3DS, titled Kirby: Planet Robotbot. In the game, Kirby gets a robot suit for players to use. There’s also a four-player multiplayer mode called Team Kirby Clash in which players collect tablet to perform team moves. The game launches on 3DS on June 10th.
