Battlefield 1 Goes Back To The First World War

By: Tyler Miller

After being leaked early this morning, DICE and EA officially revealed Battlefield 1, the next game in the popular series. Check out the trailer down below!

The game takes place during World War 1, a period that many games first-person shooters don’t dabble in, so it’ll be a fresh change of pace from many recent shooters that are set in the future or modern day. The game is also gorgeous as well, but none of the footage in the trailer was gameplay so the actual game may look different. Be that as it may, the game is now on my radar.

The game releases on October 21, 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to play it three days early, you can get the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition for $79.99 on October 18. It comes with a bunch of extra goodies like vehicles, weapons, emblems and visual appearances for some vehicles. Pre-orders of the game receive the Harlem Hellfighter Pack and seven day early access to a free map this year. If you’re an EA Access member, you’ll get to play for a limited time before the release date as well.

For those that are interested in having a collector’s edition, DICE hasn’t left you hanging dry.

The Collector’s Edition is going for $219.99 and comes with the following:

  • Battlefield 1 Deluxe Edition Base Game
  • 14″ Tall Collector’s Edition Statue
  • An exclusive steelbook
  • An exclusive cloth poster
  • A deck of playing cards
  • A messenger pigeon tube with exclusive DLC content
  • Exclusive patch
  • Premium packaging
