Early this morning, Square Enix released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (that’s a mouthful), and it is amazing. There’s lots of new footage here showcasing combat as Aqua in 0.2 – A fragmentary Passage and a fair amount of story cutscenes from Back Cover. There’s also some Dream Drop Distance in there as well, but it’s nowhere near as exciting as the other two games. The best part? Confirmation of a worldwide release this December! Unfortunately it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any Kingdom Hearts 3 news until this winter, but hopefully the team at Square Enix surprises us next week and has a trailer of sorts to show off.
