Sledgehammer Games and Activision have finally given us our first look at Call of Duty: WWII and it looks pretty great. The game is going back to World War II and delivering a story that the devs called “gritty” and “visceral” multiple times, and the trailer certainly backs that up.
A few bits of multiplayer information were announced as well. The game mode War in which players have to fight in historic battles as either the Allies or the Axis, and each side has different objectives. Then there are Divisions, a new character customization that takes the place of character class. Lastly is Headquarters, a large social space that is similar to the tower in Destiny. More multiplayer information will be coming at E3, where the mode will also be playable as well. A private beta will be available later this year if you pre-order the game.
Also announced today was the return of the Nazi Zombies co-op mode.

Call of Duty: WWII launches November 3, 2017 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
