After a lot of speculation, leaks, and rumors, today Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been officially announced.
Black Ops 4 will be the next game in Treyarch’s sub-series of Call of Duty games. Nothing gameplay-wise has been revealed, but it’s rumored that the game will have a modern setting and be boots on the ground, continuing the series push to move away from the futuristic venues of past games. The curtains will be pulled back on May 17, when Treyarch holds a community reveal event, and the game will be released on October 12. This is about a month earlier than Call of Duty typically launches, so fans won’t have to wait as long as normal to play this year’s entry.
