Smash fans, your time has come! During their Nintendo Direct earlier today, Nintendo announced that a Super Smash Bros. game will be coming to the Switch!
The CG trailer is light on big reveals, but we do have confirmation that the game will be releasing this year, as well as the inclusion of the Inklings from Splatoon as playable characters. Also revealed in the trailer is the return of Mario and Link, who’s sporting his Breath of the Wild look, so a new moveset is possible for the Hylian. What’s unknown as of now is if this is a port of the Wii U Smash, or if it’s a brand new game, although it’s pretty likely that it’s the latter. We can expect more news to come later this year at E3 for sure.
