Things haven’t been that good for Fallout 76. It launched in a disastrous state, leading to terrible reviews and a loss of trust amongst Bethesda fans. Bethesda Game Studios is aiming to change that though with the release of a new update to the game later this fall titled Wastelanders.
The new update brings in human NPCs, dialogue choices akin to the ones in previous Fallout games, a new quest line, and some new gear. In addition, a battle royale mode was announced for the game called Nuclear Winter. The premise behind the mode is that Vault 51 needs an overseer, so the AI running it decides that a battle royale between 52 players will determine who is best to be the overseer.
All these new things coming to the game will be free for all players as well. It certainly seems like Bethesda is doing their best to commit to making Fallout 76 a better game than it was at launch. If all goes well this Fall, that just might happen.
