At the end of their Xbox Press Conference today, Microsoft officially revealed that their next console is codenamed Project Scarlett, and it’s coming in the holiday season next year.
The console is sounding like it’s going to be a beast based off the points they mentioned: 8K, ray-tracing, 120FPS, faster load times. Project Scarlett is poised to be the foundation for Microsoft’s future cloud and streaming initiatives, so it’ll need all the power it can get to do that.
