Early this morning, Sony announced that a brand new State of Play will be coming later this week, and it’s all about Ghost of Tsushima.
This news comes from a post on the Playstation Blog where SIE Content Communications Senior Director, Sid Shuman laid out all the details for us. The episode will be happening this Thursday at 1PM PT/4PM ET. What we can expect to see is a roughly 18-minute episode in which we’ll “get an extended look at new gameplay footage, including exploration, combat and more.” The post also makes it clear that we will not be seeing anything about the PS5 during the show.
It’s been a while since we saw anything from Sucker Punch’s samurai title. The last time we got a look at it was during last year’s Game Awards in December, and since then we haven’t gotten much in the way of information about the game. This State of Play will hopefully be very enlightening and get everyone excited if they already aren’t for the game’s impending release.
Ghost of Tsushima launches for PS4 this summer on July 17.
