After almost a week of being live, the beta for Star Wars: Battlefront II will be over soon. I didn’t get to jump in until it was available to everyone, but after spending the past few days playing the beta, I’ve gotten a full view of the game and it’s mostly positive.
There’s only one month to go before Justice League is released and Warner Bros. has released one final trailer for the movie. The first part is heavy on the mourning of Superman, but the last minute and a half is heavy on the action, showcasing some new footage we haven’t seen yet. Unfortunately for all those fans out there hoping that Superman would finally be revealed in the trailer, he’s not. WB is still trying to make us think he’s not in the movie, but we all know that he really is. Guess we’ll really just have to wait until the movie’s out to see how he returns.
Today we finally got our first look at Pacific Rim: Uprising, and it looks so freaking good. New Kaiju, new Jaegers with some badass weapons, and a whole host of new characters. And probably most notable is fights during the day! Now we can actually see everything in detail during the massive fights.
It’s been four years since the long awaited Kingdom Hearts III was announced and the game still hasn’t been released. To fill the time and to catch people up on what’s been happening in the story, Square Enix has given us PS3 collections of the games in the series. This year, PS4 players have yet again been given another collection in the form of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and although there is some fun stuff in here, there isn’t a lot of it.
When the original Mirror’s Edge came out in 2008, it was a cult hit. The gameplay was unique for one taking place in a first-person perspective, and it looked good graphically too. While it’s story wasn’t the best, it wasn’t a bad one either. After years of waiting for some sort of new entry in the series, fans finally got their wish in the form of 2016’s Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
When I first played Destiny in 2014, I thought the game was fun and had a solid foundation, but there just wasn’t enough to keep a strong hold on me once I completed the campaign.
Super Mario Odyssey is primed to be one of the best games of the year from a gameplay and graphical standpoint, and we finally have a release date for it. The game will be coming out October 27, so put in your forms to take the day off now. You’re going to want to spend all your time playing this game, as it looks to be loads of fun.
No you aren’t dreaming. Metroid Prime 4 is a real game that’s in development. Nintendo didn’t reveal anything else about the game during the trailer aside from the fact that it’s in development, so expect to wait quite some time for this game to come out. After their E3 Spotlight, Nintendo revealed that the game will not be developed by Retro Studios, the developer of the first three Prime games. It will instead be developed by a new development team. Producer Kensuke Tanabe will still oversee the development of the game though.
Sony treated us to a slew of upcoming PSVR games during their press conference, and most of them look pretty interesting. If any of them look bad, it’s probably Skyrim VR. I mean, just look at the way the bow and arrow was being held. Just terrible I tell you.
We were introduced to another character in Detroit Become Human today, and his name is Marcus. He’s an android revolutionary that’s fighting to free androids from the humans. The trailer shows the many things we can do and how our actions affect the other android characters we’ve been introduced to in past trailers. Unfortunately we still don’t have a release date for the game.
