PSVR Has A Release Date And Some Pretty Cool Games

By: Tyler Miller

We already knew that PSVR would cost $399, but now we know the exact day it’ll launch. PSVR will be available this fall on October 13th. There are going to be some cool games coming for it too, with the sci-fi first person shooter Farpoint, the creepy Here They Lie, Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission and Batman Arkham VR. I won’t have the money to get a PSVR when it first comes out, but I’m really looking forward to getting one if only to play Farpoint. That game looks awesome and I can’t wait to see more of it.

Resident Evil 7 Has Been Revealed

By: Tyler Miller

In a surprise announcement, Resident Evil 7 was announced during Sony’s press conference with a creepy demo that seemed a lot like P.T. The game doesn’t appear to have any connection to any past game and seems like it’s taking the series in a new direction. Also, the game is fully compatible with VR, which is also a major plus as well. The game will be launching on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24th, but there is a demo available now for Playstation Plus members.

Detroit: Become Human

By: Tyler Miller

Quantic Dream revealed a new trailer for their upcoming game Detroit: Become Human, and it’s definitely a Quantic Dream game. There are multiple choices as for how to approach a situation, multiple endings for them, and stunning graphics. It just wouldn’t be a Quantic Dream game without these things.

Horizon: Zero Dawn Keeps On Looking Great

By: Tyler Miller

Sony gave us a brand new demo for the recently delayed Horizon: Zero Dawn and it impressed me even more than I expected it to. We got to see how you’re able to ride the machines in the world, some crafting, a boss fight, and dialogue choices. It sucks that the game got delayed because I want this game NOW.

Horizon: Zero Dawn comes out on February 28, 2017.

Sony Announces New IP Days Gone

By: Tyler Miller

Sony Bend finally revealed what they’ve been working on for a while now and it’s a post-apocalyptic game called Days Gone. You play as Deacon St. John, a drifter and bounty hunter. The game takes place two years after a worldwide disaster took out most of the Earth’s population, turning them into zombie-like creatures called “Freakers.” The gameplay demo was pretty action packed, although the game gives off a vibe reminiscent of The Last Of Us. Will the final game be any good though? It looks like it has potential to be. If anything, it’ll be scary as hell being chased by hordes of zombies like the one in the demo.

The Last Guardian Finally Has A Release Date

By: Tyler Miller

It’s been a long journey, and for a while it seemed like The Last Guardian was never going to come out. The journey is almost over though, as the game finally has a release date. The Last Guardian will be launching this fall on October 25th.

God of War Is Back!

By: Tyler Miller

Sony kicked off their E3 press conference with their biggest game, God of War. That’s right, there’s no subtitle or number for this one. The demo showed an older Kratos go on a hunting trip with his son that involves a good amount of fighting. Kratos also has an axe that’s similar to Thor’s hammer in that it comes back to him when he summons it and it appears it can use the power of ice. The demo also confirmed that the game is going to be in a Norse setting. Just based off this gameplay, it looks like they’re taking the series in a different direction from the past games and are trying to make things more personal than before, which I’m 100% on board with. Bring on the Norse gods!

Ubisoft Announces It’s New IP Steep

By: Tyler Miller

Capping off Ubisoft’s press conference was the extreme winter sports game Steep. It’s a brand new IP by them and it looks to be bringing back the winter sports genre that’s been gone ever since the last SSX game came out in 2012. You can snowboard, ski, paraglide, and wing suit in an open world with friends, and set up challenges for them to complete. The game releases this December, so we won’t have to wait long to play this cool looking game.

Watch Dogs 2 Is Going To Be Great

By: Tyler Miller

I’m going to come out and say it now. Watch Dogs 2 is going to be a great game, and it’s going to be much better than the first game. Sure it’s early to say that now, but just based off the gameplay Ubisoft showed during their press conference I strongly feel like this will be the Assassin’s Creed 2 of this series. Showing how you can go through a mission and complete it without killing anyone was a great move, as you couldn’t do that in the first game. It just opens up the door for multiple different ways to play the game and I can’t wait. It’s also important to note that all DLC for the game will come to the PS4 30 days before anywhere else, so on behalf of all PS4 players, I apologize to those that won’t be able to benefit from this.

Watch Dogs 2 releases November 15th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Being An Eagle Has Never Looked So Much Fun

By: Tyler Miller

During their press conference, Ubisoft showed off a live demo of the VR game Eagle Flight. Two teams of three played a match against each other in which they had to capture a rabbit and get it back to their nest. Sure just watching people play a VR game is never going to be the same as actually playing it yourself, but it looks like a lot of fun. It may just fulfill my dream of being able to fly without actually flying.
