Happy Death Day Review

The slasher genre is one that has followed the same basic formula for some time. There’s always a killer that seems impossible to kill, and they’re always hunting down a group of people as they slowly pick them off one by one. It’s not that common to find a slasher movie that changes things up some in a good way. Happy Death Day is that rare slasher that brings a fresh new twist to the genre, even if the movie isn’t a revolution.

Justice League Gets One Final Somber, Action Filled Trailer

By: Tyler Miller

There’s only one month to go before Justice League is released and Warner Bros. has released one final trailer for the movie. The first part is heavy on the mourning of Superman, but the last minute and a half is heavy on the action, showcasing some new footage we haven’t seen yet. Unfortunately for all those fans out there hoping that Superman would finally be revealed in the trailer, he’s not. WB is still trying to make us think he’s not in the movie, but we all know that he really is. Guess we’ll really just have to wait until the movie’s out to see how he returns.

Justice League comes out November 17, 2017.

John Wick: Chapter 2 Review

When the first John Wick came out in 2014, many were surprised by just how good it was. Although it was a fairly simple revenge story, that did not keep the movie from being an amazing action film. While John Wick: Chapter 2 is more of the same, it takes everything great about the original and makes it even better.

The Lego Batman Movie Review

Lego Batman is a funny guy. He was funny in 2014’s The Lego Movie and he is still funny here in his own movie The Lego Batman Movie. Unfortunately, and quite ironically, the movie suffers because of its title character, and the amount of funny that’s jam packed in it.

Logan Review

The X-Men film series has had a spotty track record throughout the years, especially with the spinoff movies following Wolverine’s solo adventures.

The First Trailer For Logan Is Amazing And Emotional

By: Tyler Miller

After lots of social media teases and buildup, Fox finally dropped the first trailer for Logan, and it doesn’t disappoint. Unlike most trailers for superhero movies these days, the trailer isn’t bombastic and loud, as it takes a more personal tone than you would expect. It’s clear that both Logan and Professor X have seen better days, and the worst may not even be behind them yet. With the task of protecting a young girl that is presumed to be X-23, the female clone of Logan, things definitely are not going to be easy for our titular hero.

Logan comes out March 3, 2017.

The Assassin’s Creed Movie Gets A Cool New Trailer

By: Tyler Miller

The first trailer for Assassin’s Creed wasn’t too bad, but the poor choice of using a Kanye West song that didn’t totally fit with the footage kept it from being better than it could’ve been. That certainly isn’t the case with the brand new trailer for the movie. It has a nice sounding rock song that I’ve been scouring the web trying to find so I can listen to it over and over, and A LOT of awesome shots of Michael Fassbender’s character, Callum Lynch, doing some badass assassin moves in both the present and the past. I wasn’t too excited for the movie before, but this trailer definitely got me hyped. And if anyone finds out what that song is, definitely let me know.

Assassin’s Creed hits theaters on December 21, 2016.
