In the lead-up to the release of Avowed, my excitement levels were at a comfortable seven out of ten. I was looking forward to Obsidian Entertainment’s new RPG and expected it to be a good game, but for some reason, I wasn’t as enthusiastic as I had been just a year ago. They would be the show of E3 that everyone wanted to see and they would be able to kick off the week in a big way. They were even talking it up to be this “show to beat all other shows.” Unfortunately they didn’t do that and treated this year’s conference like any other one.
