Continuing its never-ending saga with delays,Ā The Last Guardian has been pushed back from October 25 to December 6, 2016. The delay was announced on the Playstation Blog. Here’s the full post:
The Last Guardian development team is fast approaching major milestones in production and has made the tough decision to delay the release of The Last Guardian a few weeks. The Last Guardian will launch on December 6, 2016.
Fumito Ueda, gen DESIGN and JAPAN Studio have a wonderful vision for The Last Guardianās touching, emotional journey of friendship and trust, and we want to deliver the most polished experience possible for our fans who have supported us for so long. A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the gameās creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues.
Our development continues to push itself to the fullest and we look forward to revealing new content toward launch.
We appreciate your continued support.
While it’s a bit disappointing to hear, this delay can only mean good things for the game. After years of anticipation, this game is going to have be absolutely perfect in every way imaginable in order for it to live up to people’s expectations (which it will most likely fail to do). Getting rid of bugs and other assorted issues can only make the game better, so fans shouldn’t be too upset with the reasoning behind the delay. Plus the game is still coming out this year, so it’s not all at that bad. A few more weeks is nothing compared to the past couple of years spent waiting.

Guerrilla Games’ highly anticipatedĀ Horizon Zero Dawn was announced at E3 last year, so it’s only appropriate that we get a brand new trailer for the game a week before E3 this year. The trailer focuses on our main character Aloy and her backstory, while also showing off how beautiful this game is. It’s crazy howĀ it even rivalsĀ Uncharted 4 in terms of visualsĀ at this early stage of development. Then again, Guerrilla Games is known for making gorgeous games. Too bad the game has been delayed to next year though, but the wait is sure to be worth it.
Horizon Zero DawnĀ launches February 28, 2017.

Hell must have frozen over and pigs must be flying because the impossible is finally a reality. Today Microsoft announced that Xbox players will be able to play online with players on other consoles or platforms.Ā ID@Xbox Director Chris Carla broke the good news in a letter onĀ Xbox Wire, saying that players on Xbox Live on either Xbox One or Windows 10 will be able to play with people on other online networks. It comes down to the developers to implement it into their games andĀ the other networksĀ (i.e. PSN, Steam) to accept the invitation.
