Preacher hasn’t had the most graceful season, with it meandering a lot along the way to the end. But I’d be lying if I didn’t say that the season finale totally made up for all of that and was an episode that fired on every cylinder.

Yesterday gave us the penultimate episode of the season forĀ Preacher and it was a real good episode. We got a conclusion to the cowboy’s story in Ratwater, and everything started to come together, making next week’s episode a much anticipated one.

Preacher this week was a better episode than last week’s somewhat lackluster one. Even though not too much happened, things were thoroughly entertaining and it was interesting to see Jesse deal with the realization that he’s been an ass lately, as well as the threat of Odin Quincannon.

At this point, I don’t know why I’m surprised thatĀ Preacher reverted back to a slow episode where not much happened after last week’s amazing episode.Ā This week we got another episode where not much happened, but it wasn’t a completely bad episode.Ā

Ever since the show premiered,Ā Preacher has been giving us one slow episode after another. Some of these episodes have been good whereas others have been pretty boring and disappointing. Last night’s episode finally got us out of this rut though and totally kicked things up to eleven.

This week onĀ Preacher, we got to see Jesse really start to embrace his power and use it to help the people of his town. At the same time, things didn’t really progress much this episode, just like last week. Unlike last week, that didn’t keep the episode from being good or interesting.

Last nightĀ Preacher delivered a good episode that brought some attention to the main bad guy in the town, Odin Quincannon after not getting much from him these past few episodes. Unfortunately, the episode was also bogged down a bit by feeling like it wasn’t going anywhere.

Yet again I have to apologize for not getting this recap out yesterday. For those that may not know, yesterday was the start of E3 2016, the year’s biggest going convention. With that being the case, there was a lot of news coming out and unfortunately no time to write up this recap during the day. The first episode ofĀ Preacher knocked my socks off to say the least. It came out of nowhere and impressed me with its characters, action, and crazy plot. All of that carries over to its second episode, but it’s an overall weaker episode than the premiere was.Ā

Preacher is a series that I never heard of until word got out that it was being made into a tv show. Even after that I didn’t really follow any news about it until we got closer to the series premiere. With all the buzz surrounding it I decided I’d go ahead and watch the show. Sure I have not a single clue about anything in the show outside of the basic premise, but I figured why not jump on and see what the show is all about. After seeing the pilot I can say that deciding to watchĀ Preacher was one of the best choices I’ve made.
