We’re finally in 2024 which means it’s time to look forward at the year ahead of us. Me being a gaming focused person, I’m taking the next couple posts to focus on the big three in the gaming space (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo), and talk about what I’m expecting and/or wanting from each of them in the coming year. Today, the conversation is going to be all about Nintendo and the much anticipated Switch 2.
If you told me at the start of the year that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was going to be a game that I absolutely fell in love with, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. I felt that its predecessor Breath of the Wild was an enjoyable experience, but took issue with its blank canvas design which felt a bit too open and directionless for me. But that’s been flipped on its head with Tears of the Kingdom. By building on the concepts of adventure, creativity, and exploration that laid the foundation for the previous game, and amplifying them with a stronger sense of focus and direction, everything that I didn’t click with before has been vastly improved, making this not just one of the best games I’ve played this year, but one of the best games I’ve ever played period.
At long last, we finally know the name of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Revealed as the closer for yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, the highly anticipated sequel is now known as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and will release on May 12, 2023. Curiously though, after three years and a couple teasers, we still know very little about the game and I’m not quite sure why that is.
It is day 34 and we’ve had a lot of fun in the days since the last entry in my Animal Crossing: New Horizons journal. Let’s skip the preamble and just get right to it!
Hey everyone! It’s been a while since there was a new entry in my Animal Crossing: New Horizons journal series, and there are a couple reasons for that.
I took a day off from the journal, but we’re back today! Yesterday I didn’t really play much because there wasn’t really anything going on in the game. The museum reopened, but the new Resident Services building and the Able Sisters stores were still in the process of being built. Now that they’re finally opened, the island is taking a major turn towards progress.
Two slow days in a row over here on Destiny Island. Honestly, I’m not complaining one bit. We just went through the storm, so it’s expected that we’ll be having calmer days for the foreseeable future.
Yesterday was a big day for me on Destiny Island. There was a lot to do and it took a good amount of time to get it all done. After yesterday’s jam-packed play session, it’s a bit of a relief that today was more low-key and relaxed.Â
Oh boy guys! Today was by far the most productive session I’ve had in the game so far. There’s so much to talk about. New residents, home rearrangements, a lot of DIY work, and so much more! Let’s talk about it all!
Today’s time on Destiny Island was pretty productive. I spent a lot of time working on the task of setting up new homes for our future residents, and I also met my new best friend in the game!
