Capping off Ubisoft’s press conference was the extreme winter sports game Steep. It’s a brand new IP by them and it looks to be bringing back the winter sports genre that’s been gone ever since the last SSX game came out in 2012. You can snowboard, ski, paraglide, and wing suit in an open world with friends, and set up challenges for them to complete. The game releases this December, so we won’t have to wait long to play this cool looking game.

I’m going to come out and say it now. Watch Dogs 2 is going to be a great game, and it’s going to be much better than the first game. Sure it’s early to say that now, but just based off the gameplay Ubisoft showed during their press conference I strongly feel like this will be the Assassin’s Creed 2 of this series. Showing how you can go through a mission and complete it without killing anyone was a great move, as you couldn’t do that in the first game. It just opens up the door for multiple different ways to play the game and I can’t wait. It’s also important to note that all DLC for the game will come to the PS4 30 days before anywhere else, so on behalf of all PS4 players, I apologize to those that won’t be able to benefit from this.
Watch Dogs 2 releases November 15th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

During their press conference, Ubisoft showed off a live demo of the VR game Eagle Flight. Two teams of three played a match against each other in which they had to capture a rabbit and get it back to their nest. Sure just watching people play a VR game is never going to be the same as actually playing it yourself, but it looks like a lot of fun. It may just fulfill my dream of being able to fly without actually flying.

In addition to getting an awesome new trailer this year that expanded the story of For Honor, we got an extended demo showing a viking siege on a samurai fortress. The game continues to look brutal and methodical in its approach to combat, which is great. We also got a February 14th release date for the game, so it’ll make for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift next year.

I never got the chance to play the first South Park game, but I’m going to make it my mission to play South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

After a year of silence, we finally got some more gameplay of Ghost Recon: Wildlands. It looks to be a good amount of fun with the way everyone worked together to complete the mission. I wonder how many other ways that mission could’ve gone. The game also got a release date, so mark your calendars for March 7, 2017 because that’s when Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be hitting PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

It’s the middle of May which means that E3 (A.K.A. Christmas for gamers) is right around the corner! EA: June 12, 1 PM PST / 4 PM EST
Bethesda: June 12, 7 PM PST / 10 PM EST
Microsoft: June 13, 9:30 AM PST / 12:30 PM EST
PC Gaming Show: June 13, 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST
Ubisoft: June 13, 1 PM PST / 4 PM EST
Sony: June 13, 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST
Nintendo: Nintendo will not be having a press conference or Nintendo Direct this year, and will instead be having a full day of Nintendo Treehouse: Live starting on June 14th at 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST.
Of note is that there is no news as for whether or not Square Enix will hold a press conference this year since they did last year. They have announced though that they will hold a “Square Enix Presents” live show where they will make game announcements and have discussions with game developers about their games. There will also be another Active Time Report taking place during E3 as well, so maybe more Final Fantasy XV news will be revealed then as well? Only time will tell.

Remember Beyond Good and Evil 2? The game that Ubisoft announced in 2008, but haven’t talked about since then. Well it looks like the game just might be coming back, and soon! Coming from Destructoid, rumor has it that Nintendo is doing what they did for Bayonetta 2 and are funding the game, while securing NX exclusivity for the game in the process. According to the rumor, the game is going by the title of Beyond Good and Evil: The Prejudices of Philosophers. If true, this is a major win for Nintendo. Of course, this is sure to ruffle the feathers of quite a few fans if it is true, but only time will tell. I’m betting that we’ll be getting confirmation of this news at E3 at the soonest. What do you all think? Leave your thoughts below.
