Xbox Games Showcase 2025 Predictions!
The 2025 Xbox Games Showcase is right around the corner and I’m hoping to see some big things from Microsoft, so let’s talk all about my predictions!
Microsoft has announced significant worldwide price hikes across the Xbox ecosystem, and they’re shocking to say the least.
In the lead-up to the release of Avowed, my excitement levels were at a comfortable seven out of ten. I was looking forward to Obsidian Entertainment’s new RPG and expected it to be a good game, but for some reason, I wasn’t as enthusiastic as I had been just a year ago. Fast forward to now and after spending 15 hours with Avowed, it’s proved to be just the fantasy gaming experience I’ve wanted and needed for years.
Microsoft held its annual Xbox Developer Direct and it was the best one yet! Featuring plenty of gameplay and release information for South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Doom: The Dark Ages, and the reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4, this was one heck of a show! Let’s talk about it all!
Big changes are coming to the Halo franchise, with a switch to Unreal Engine 5, a renamed developer, and a new plan for the future.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has received a December 9, 2024 release date for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and more surprisingly has also been confirmed to be releasing on PlayStation 5 next year.
At yesterday’s Xbox Developer Direct, MachineGames finally unveiled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and announced that it’ll be releasing later this year exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Last year was pretty great for Xbox overall and 2024 is looking like it’ll be just as good, if not better. Between great games slated for release this year, new potential additions to Game Pass from Activision Blizzard’s back catalog, and a hardware refresh in the second half of the year, there’s a lot to be excited about so long as Xbox maintains this momentum. I talk about it all in today’s video.
Ever since its announcement in 2018, Starfield has been one of my most anticipated games. A brand new IP from Bethesda Game Studios that brings their classic brand of RPGs into outer space was all I needed to hear to be on board with it, and now that it’s here I’ve been trying to sink as much time into it as I possibly can. I’ve only managed to log a solid 25 hours into this massive new adventure and so far I’m enjoying my journey across the stars. That said, there are some key aspects that have left me disappointed.

Earlier this morning, Microsoft held a new episode of their Inside Xbox show. It was highly anticipated due to the expectations that they set for fans and the hype that they raised for it. That all backfired on them though in a pretty disappointing fashion.
