Announced tonight during the Bethesda E3 press conference, Doom Eternal is the sequel to the 2016 reboot. The teaser showed an Earth that had been overtaken by the creatures of Hell. The gameplay debut will be coming later this year at QuakeCon.
Rage 2 kicked off Bethesda’s E3 press conference this year, and it was certainly a way to start. The gameplay shown was hectic and chaotic in a way that looks immensely fun, something that developer Avalanche Studios is great at doing. The game is coming out Spring 2019.
There isn’t really too much for me to really talk about when it comes to Bethesda. For me, there are only a select few games from them that I’m truly interested in. Even with those games in mind, a lot of what Bethesda is working on is either a big secret or so far out that we know it’s not going to be shown at E3 this year. Still, that won’t keep me from making a stop here and giving them some proper attention. Let’s get to it then!
Bethesda announced today that Dishonored II will be getting a standalone expansion later this fall titled Death of the Outsider. You play as a new character, Billie Lurk, and work alongside the assassin Daud from the first game to kill the mysterious Outsider who gave series protagonists Emily and Corvo their powers. It’ll be launching on September 15.
Today we finally got the reveal of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. The game continues the story of protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz as he tries to lead a revolution in America against the Nazis. The game launches this fall on October 27.
Everyone expected it, but The Evil Within 2 was officially announced tonight at Bethesda’s press conference. The game looks to be just as creepy and scary as the first one. It’ll be released this year on October 13 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
When the Switch was revealed, we got a glimpse of Skyrim running on the system, but never heard anything else after that. Now we finally got more on the game in the form of a short trailer showing what the Switch will add to the game. The Switch version will have motion controls for combat, and Amiibo support as well. It will be launching later this fall.
Last year at their E3 press conference, Bethesda announced Fallout 4 VR, but we didn’t get to actually see the game. This year, they brought a gameplay trailer for it, and it looks pretty cool.
For the third year in a row, Bethesda is holding its own E3 press conference. The past two years they’ve done this, the show has been a hit, so I’m fully expecting them to do it for the third year in a row. Bring on the games Bethesda!
After a year of silence, Dishonored 2 finally stepped out of the shadows this year at E3 and showed off some pretty awesome gameplay. Bethesda gave us a nice long look at the game, starting by showing off the amazing visuals of the game and then transitioning into some gameplay with a few different missions. The gameplay possibilities have only been increased with the different powers at your disposal in this game, which will only make the act of getting revenge (lethally or non-lethally) all the more fun.
Dishonored 2 releases later this on November 11 for Ps4, Xbox One, and PC.
